Another Year of iPod Opportunities
The Harrington Foundation will continue to offer monthly iPod give-a-ways this year for users of the online career portfolio.
A winner will be chosen each month during the academic year beginning this month. To register to win an iPod Nano, students will need to set up a free Kuder account at www.kuder.com or their state- or college-specific portal page. If they already have an account, they can simply log into their Kuder Career Portfolio and click on the iPod image (seen above).
Fall Opportunities for Online CDF Courses
As many states are offering assistance from federal sources such as Perkins to help career specialists and counselors participate in the online Career Development Facilitator (CDF) training course, we are accommodating the need for additional courses by making more available this Fall. Check with your school or state department of education to see if funding support is available to you. The convenient 20-week course offers flexible online instruction and requires only one, three-day face-to-face (FTF) session.
2007 Fall Courses:
- Course dates: 10/9/07 to 2/26/08; FTF session 11/30 - 12/2/07 in Atlanta, Georgia
- Course dates: 11/27/07 to 4/15/08; FTF session 1/18-20/08 in Orlando, Florida
- Course dates: 1/08/08 to 05/27/08; FTF session 2/29 - 3/2/08 in Chicago, IL

2006-07 HF Scholarship Recipients
In June, the Harrington Foundation announced the recipients of the 2006-2007 Harrington Foundation Scholarships. The Foundation awarded nearly $10,000 to 26 students from across the United States.
