New Partnership Promises Successful Collaboration

Kuder, Inc. is pleased to announce a new partnership with The Center for Occupational Research and Development (CORD), the national nonprofit organization dedicated to leading change in education.

Since 1979, CORD has created educational tools and innovative programs to empower faculty and prepare students for greater success in careers and higher education. Kuder has been involved with CORD for nearly 10 years as a member of their National Career Pathways Network (formerly National Tech Prep Network) and a participant at its annual conference. Kuder Kick-Starts 2010 by Topping the DOL Challenge

In an effort to ensure that job seekers have the best possible resources at their fingertips, the U.S. Department of Labor’s Employment and Training Administration set up the “Tools for America’s Job Seekers Challenge” in November.

The challenge asked for companies to post their tools on the challenge web site (www.dolchallenge.ideascale.com) by January and allow people to explore and recommend them. The goal of the challenge was to help the workforce investment system identify the best online tools and make them available to their job-seeking clients. Read More »

Kuder Supports Career and Technical Education

In 1908, when Frank Parsons first formulated the main principles of career choice, he provided the framework for career and technical education (CTE), as it is known today. Over the years, CTE, first referred to as vocational guidance and education, has grown and evolved to become the focus in schools, workforce, and government. Kuder Improves Kuder® Galaxy with a Series of Enhancements

Kuder Galaxy, our elementary product for pre-kindergarten to fifth-grade students, underwent an update this February to include numerous enhancements to the system as well as additional activities for students. When most middle school students are asked what they want to be when they grow up, they simply respond with a shoulder shrug. To this age group, adulthood seems much too distant for worry, and any sense of seriousness or healthy anxiety is premature. But when this question is asked of 7th-grade CB02 Computer Essentials students at the Mesa Academy for Advanced Studies, an enthusiastic barrage of answers ensues, complete with explanations of their four-year high school academic plans, SAT/ACT requirements from their colleges of choice, and salary ranges and market outlook of the jobs they’d like to pursue.
