New Partnership Promises Successful Collaboration

cordKuder, Inc. is pleased to announce a new partnership with The Center for Occupational Research and Development (CORD), the national nonprofit organization dedicated to leading change in education.

Since 1979, CORD has created educational tools and innovative programs to empower faculty and prepare students for greater success in careers and higher education. Kuder has been involved with CORD for nearly 10 years as a member of their National Career Pathways Network (formerly National Tech Prep Network) and a participant at its annual conference.

“For Tech Prep, Career Pathways, and Adult Career Pathways programs, the linchpin of success is the quality of career guidance. CORD is exceptionally proud to partner with Kuder, the premier provider of career guidance tools and services, as we seek to improve career and technical education programming nationwide," said Richard C. Hinckley, Ph.D., President and CEO of CORD.

With this new, more dedicated relationship, Kuder is excited to partner on many different projects, promote CORD’s vision to our customers, and have the opportunity to bring our mission, goals, and solutions to a broader audience.

“This new partnership with CORD signifies a shared effort between two organizations to better serve the educational community and career development industry,” said Phil Harrington, President of Kuder, Inc. “We have always respected CORD and the work they do through their National Career Pathways Network and many other initiatives. Based on our common vision and practices, it was a natural fit to partner with CORD and its president, Dr. Richard Hinckley.”

As part of this partnership, we plan to help Kuder customers become more aware of CORD and its mission and projects through ongoing communication and events. One initial project that Kuder will team up with CORD on is the Greater Education Community Education Alliance and Summit in Waco. More information on this project will be shared as work gets underway. Also, look for Kuder and CORD representatives at the American Association of Community Colleges conference in Seattle, April 17-20, as well as at the Texas Career Education conference in Dallas, July 12-15.

KCPNAdditionally, Kuder is working with CORD to host a full-day, pre-conference workshop at this year’s NCPN conference in Dallas in October. This interactive, professional development workshop will highlight the importance of college planning and career guidance tools. Attendees will gain a better understanding of incorporating college and career planning into their classrooms through live demonstrations and best practice applications. Professor and department head of Counselor Education, Counseling Psychology, and Rehabilitation Services for The Pennsylvania State, Spencer Niles, Ed.D., will deliver the keynote address to kick off the workshop.

“Through this closer collaboration, I expect more opportunities, such as the NCPN pre-conference workshop, for joint projects and activities to arise,” said Harrington. “With CORD we have found an experienced partner and leader in the industry with whom we will explore new ideas and ways to continue to impact the lives of students and adults worldwide.”
