Kuder takes a comprehensive approach to the career planning process by offering two curricula options: Direct Your Future (for middle and high school students) and Take Hold of Your Future (for postsecondary students and adults). Direct Your Future

The fourth edition of Direct Your Future (DYF) – formerly Develop Your Future – is a career planning curriculum designed for educators and counselors who are using Kuder® Navigator in the classroom to guide middle and high school students through the career planning process.

Designed by world-renowned expert JoAnn Harris-Bowlsbey, Ed.D., DYF is a downloadable 11-module career planning curriculum designed in a flexible format. It contains everything needed to engage students in career development concepts that help them prepare for the future. Filled with lesson plans, activities, and resource materials, DYF eliminates the need for extensive prep time in your busy schedule while helping you meet today's rigorous educational standards.

Take Hold of Your Future

The sixth edition of THOYF, by JoAnn Harris-Bowlsbey, Ed.D., is an online career planning and management course curriculum for instructors working with students and adults who are using Kuder® Journey. THOYF downloadable course materials include instructor notes, activities, quizzes, PowerPoint presentations, and a course textbook.

THOYF incorporates career development theory and practical tools to help postsecondary students and adults make satisfying career decisions. Paired with Kuder® Journey, the course integrates research-based assessments and comprehensive management tools to facilitate career exploration, preparation, and transitions throughout one's lifetime.

The flexible format of the THOYF curriculum makes it suitable as a semester-long course in career planning and development, a supplement to enhance a first-year experience program, or even a workshop conducted outside a college campus. Instructors will find everything they need to administer a 14-session course, all available online with minimal prep time. Students have easy access to the course textbook through their Journey account.
