The University of West Florida (UWF) Innovation Institute has partnered with Kuder to provide an online career planning system to students in grades six through 12, postsecondary students, and adults throughout the state of Florida to meet legislative requirements.
MyCareerShines, powered by Kuder® (www.MyCareerShines.org) enables students and job seekers to develop a personalized plan that connects interests, skills, and education to careers and jobs.
The system utilizes Kuder Navigator® for middle school and high school students and Kuder Journey® for college students and job seekers. Both feature Kuder's research-based assessments to allow users to identify interests, skills, and work values.
Kuder is supporting the system's implementation by training Florida's administrators, teachers, advisers, and counselors to optimize their use of the system as they administer career guidance to the students and adults they serve.
“MyCareerShines has everything under the sun to help you land your dream job,” said Dr. Karen Rasmussen, assistant provost and chief academic strategist at the University of West Florida Innovation Institute. “You can assess your skills and interests, explore careers, create a plan for education and prepare for a new career.”
“Kuder is extremely proud to power MyCareerShines as an interactive and age-appropriate online postsecondary and workforce planning hub for Floridians,” said Kuder President and CEO Phil Harrington.
