Kuder, Inc. was named as a finalist for two 2016 EdTech Digest Awards  in the categories of Cool Tool: New Product or Service and Leadership: Founder/CEO.

The EdTech Digest Awards Program celebrates the most effective, innovative, and inspiring tools, leaders, and trendsetters in the education technology industry.

Kuder Navigator® Named Finalist for Cool Tool Award: New Product or Service

“It's a real honor to be recognized in this way by the EdTech Digest Awards,” said Amanda Mallinger, director of software development for Kuder.

Mallinger and her team recently completed a full redesign of Navigator, originally launched in 2007. The redesigned Navigator features a responsive design, adaptive user interface, and new e-Profile.

Navigator is an online education and career planning system for secondary students providing tools necessary for lifelong career success, including Kuder's research-based career assessments that measure interests, skills, and work values.

Navigator's career assessments are empirically aligned to the 16 National career clusters or 6 Holland clusters.

Based on more than 75 years of ongoing research, the assessments serve as a powerful springboard for career planning and are widely regarded as best-in-class for their validity and reliability.

While the redesigned Navigator is not yet available in all markets, it is currently being rolled out on an account-by-account basis.

Phil Harrington Named Finalist for Leadership Award: Founder/CEO

Kuder President and CEO Phil Harrington was named as one of five finalists for this year's Leadership Award: Founder/CEO.

“It's a thrill to have been named a finalist for this award,” said Harrington. “I'm proud to lead a group of talented people who share our vision and dedication to transforming lives via technology-based innovation.”

After establishing the company in 2007, Harrington and a team of counseling psychologists and career development researchers launched the first research-based, comprehensive career development system of its kind, the Kuder Career Planning System® (KCPS).

Next year will mark Harrington's 20th year leading Kuder, a company he has grown into one of the most respected and innovative in the industry.

“I wholeheartedly agree with EdTech Digest that the potential for our global society to have a better tomorrow is firmly within grasp,” said Harrington. “It's gratifying to be recognized for Kuder's role in the creation of bright futures for students and adults worldwide.”
