We’re excited to share a video we recorded during a recent visit to Oklahoma, where students can discover work-based learning opportunities through Kuder Connect 2 Business® (C2B), a component of the statewide OK Career Guide, powered by Kuder®.

The video features Cori Gray, deputy state director of the Oklahoma Department of Career Technology Education, who described C2B as a component of the online system where students can look for internships, apprenticeships, and co-ops that align with their personal interests, skills, and values. During our conversation with Gray, she said, “The title [Connect 2 Business] really says it all!”

Tonya Backward, workforce development Coordinator for MidAmerica Industrial Park, said, “To me, it just makes sense that business would want to use the Connect 2 Business piece. Our students are already using OK Career Guide to explore careers and training programs that are available. We are wanting our students to stay here and find jobs locally."

Jimmy Martin, federal programs director with Moore Public Schools, said the OK Career Guide makes students “better prepared, more focused on what they want to do, and once they get out of school, they're ready to move into that workforce or college. And as we do that, more students are working, more students are provided opportunities to be successful and give back to their community, and it builds the economy.”

OK Career Guide Coordinator Erica Harris said, “The Connect 2 Business component of the OK Career Guide is a great tool for us … if we can help [students] find their unique strengths and pathways, there is a place for them in this world, and there is a place for them in Oklahoma to contribute and to build a better future for all of us.”
