Subject Matter Experts from William & Mary and Penn State Join Kuder Faculty
We’re pleased to welcome three new faculty members to our team: Dr. Daniel Gutierrez and Dr. Patrick R. Mullen of William & Mary, and Dr. Diandra J. Prescod of Penn State.
- Dr. Gutierrez is an assistant professor in the counselor education program at William & Mary. His research focuses on issues related to preventing mental health and substance use disorders. Dr. Gutierrez also has a special interest in examining the influence of spirituality, social emotional intelligence, contemplative practices, and existential factors on quality of life and overall wellbeing.
- Dr. Mullen is an assistant professor of counselor education at William & Mary. He also serves as the faculty director for the W&M School of Education’s Project Empower, a community engagement initiative. His areas of expertise include school counseling, counselor education and supervision, counseling children and adolescents, ethical and legal issues in counseling, professional impairment among counselors, and measurement and evaluation in counseling.
- Dr. Prescod is an assistant professor of education specializing in counselor education and coordinator of career counseling emphasis at Penn State. Her areas of research focus on career development interventions for STEM undergraduate students and the journeys of women and students of color in higher education.
Our new faculty members join Dr. Spencer Niles, who serves as dean and professor of education for William and Mary, and Dr. Hoi Suen, distinguished professor emeritus of educational psychology at Penn State.
