Today, First Lady Michelle Obama announced the Reach Higher Initiative in an effort to inspire every student in America to take charge of their future by completing their education past high school, whether at a professional training program, a community college, or a four-year college or university.
The initiative urges students to “reach higher” so that they can help accomplish President’s “North Star” goal, which is that by 2020, America will once again have the highest proportion of college graduates in the world.
Kuder encourages students to pursue education or training related to their career plans, and we look forward to working with states, districts, and partnering organizations that are participating in this initiative.
