About the Summit
A successful Rwanda Talent Pipeline must have the support from all sectors of Rwandan life. There is a great need to educate the entire nation on the Rwanda Talent Pipeline including the Rwanda Career Planning System (RCPS), powered by Kuder® and sustainable career guidance initiatives. Therefore, the National Career Guidance Summit will sensitize all the country’s development partners at both public and private levels in order to have a common understanding and ownership of the program:
- To have capacity of delivering career advising.
- Have basic essentials to best support students on how to use the web-based system (RCPS) which is the driving component of a national talent pipeline.
Through a successful pilot program, the RCPS proved to have capacity to match students’ abilities, talents, skills, and values with coursework combination as well as future occupational opportunities. The summit is a way to not only showcase the success of the RCPS, but also to engage stakeholders from the nation’s leadership to focus on tailoring career development strategies to fit Rwanda-specific needs and offer long-term support for the sustainability of the talent pipeline in Rwanda. The Summit will also establish Rwanda as the career development leader in East Africa, having the insight and experience capable of influencing how the East African Community shapes its future human capacity development strategies.
