Kuder’s partnership with the Alabama State Department of Education (ALSDE) continues to be defined by innovation, impact, and sustained trust. Most recently, ALSDE selected Kuder through a competitive RFP process, reaffirming its commitment to a comprehensive career readiness solution that continues to evolve alongside the needs of students, educators, and the state’s workforce.
This re-selection builds on more than a decade of collaboration, beginning with Kuder’s original selection more than 10 years ago. Since then, ALSDE has expanded its partnership with Kuder, working together to continuously enhance and modernize a statewide system that keeps pace with evolving economic demands and educational priorities.
The result is a dynamic, research-driven career readiness ecosystem that empowers students with relevant, personalized pathways, equipping educators with actionable insights, and strengthening Alabama’s talent pipeline for the future.

ALSDE needed configurable features, not just a one-size-fits-all approach. Kuder responded with a customized statewide system aligned to Alabama’s frameworks, CTE pathways, and education goals.
The Alabama Career Planning System delivers 12 research-based assessments and aptitudes, tailored work-based learning management, custom integrations with student information systems, and personalized education planning aligned to CTE pathways in the state.
This system transforms career planning from a checkbox activity into an engaging, data-informed journey for Alabama students.
Recognizing educators’ demanding schedules, ALSDE partnered with Kuder to ensure a smooth, guided adoption process with ongoing, high-touch support.
Kuder provides a local, dedicated partner relationship team fluent in Alabama’s education landscape to meet this need that delivers unlimited training opportunities, along with coordinating a continuous platform feedback loop to support iterative enhancements.
Through this relationship-driven model, platform adoption continues to increase year over year, educator confidence grows, and implementation remains consistent across diverse district needs.

ALSDE recognized the need for specialized professional development focused on career advising and student guidance. To meet this demand, Kuder delivered targeted training through the Institute for Career Advising & Development (ICAD).
Educators across the state gained access to the Certified Career Advisor Program, a virtual, guided, and research-based professional development pathway that builds deeper expertise in career development theory, student advising strategies, and beyond.
