Who Should Enter?

This challenge is for students ages 13-18 who have ideas for how career planning and life-after-high-school preparation could be improved.

Educators, counselors, and advisors: this is a great opportunity to spotlight student creativity and turn career readiness into a real-world project.

Submission Requirements

Submission Formatting

Submit your idea in a format that works best for you:

  • Written paper (up to 3 page, single or double spaced)
  • Presentation (PowerPoint, Canva, Google Slides, etc.)
  • Video 

Optional (but strongly encouraged!)

Add any visuals into your presentation that help bring your idea to life:

  • Mockups or Sketches
  • Diagrams or Flow Charts
  • Example Story of How You Could See Your Idea Helping Someone

Important: You may submit multiple ideas!

 

What to Include in Your Submission

1) The Idea

Describe your concept clearly:

  • What is it?
  • Who is it for?
  • What problem does it solve?
  • What would the user experience look like?

2) Personalization & Engagement Strategy

Help us understand how your idea feels personal and keeps students engaged:

  • How does it hook first-time users?
  • How does it adapt to individual student needs?
  • What makes students want to return?
  • What data or actions trigger personalization?
    (Examples: interests, goals, completed activities, saved careers, selections, progress milestones)

3) Impact

Explain how your idea improves student outcomes, such as:

  • Clearer career direction
  • Stronger planning confidence
  • Informed postsecondary decisions
  • Increased engagement with readiness activities
  • Improved budgeting/financial awareness for after graduation

Eligibility: Open to eligible student participants. You do not need to be a Kuder partner to be eligible. Multiple submissions are allowed.

Prizes: Three prizes will be awarded: $500 (First Place), $400 (Second Place), and $300 (Third Place). Winners are responsible for any applicable taxes or fees.

Rights to Submitted Materials: You hereby irrevocably assign and transfer all rights, title, and interest (including all intellectual property rights) in your submission to Kuder.

General Conditions: The organizer reserves the right to verify eligibility, disqualify incomplete or inappropriate entries, and modify, suspend, or cancel the competition if necessary.
